TRANSATLANTIC SYSTEMS CRISIS CONFERENCES

STORIES FROM LONDON where the day�s speakers on systems for humanity were: Frank Dixon, Don Beck, Lynne Twist, Hafsat Abiola, Neale Donald Walsch. Our Hist: Sir John Whitmore.

We, 350 witnesses of BeTheChange testify to the most moving day of system stories ever told including: a quarter of century of experiences concerning hunger around the globe, the death of an African nation�s elected president and leading lady because they stood tall for all the people, conversations on what�s spinning wrongly for all people of this world facilitated during soul searching inquiries in the weeks that followed 9/11. Here are 2 samples of conversational guides to why today�s system crisis is for each and all of us the BeTheChange of our life and times.



LYNNE TWIST

Start with the story that Bucky (Buckminster Fuller) told her in 1976 that changed her life: �We�ve crossed a threshold for humanity. There is now ENOUGH for everyone. The Catch 22 is that classical systems of economics, organisation and politics do not know this. Will the human race succeed in changing these systems with thinking that goes outside that of the current system?�



Next Lynne told us of how she has spent quarter of century devoted to hunger projects around the world. She explains how money as a system has taken over identities of people in rich countries ruling our emotions by fear. This brings us to the challenge Bucky visualised � can the human race go beyond Society�s �Great Lie� of Scarcity? Please let us transform society to a system revolving round this true belief: When you let go of trying to get more of what you don�t really need, it frees up oceans of energy to make a difference with what you have. When you make a difference with what you have, it expands.



Rediscovering our individual worth can flow form thinking of money as like water. It is a current, a carrier, a conduit for our intentions. See how money carries the imprimatur of our soul. Lynne relates how she first learnt about this from Gertrude during one of her earliest fundraisers for The Hunger Project. After talking in a church hall in Harlem, the first person to reply was a seventy year old who stood up tall, slender, erect and proud : �Girl� she said �my name is Gertrude and I like what you�ve said and I like you. Now I ain�t got no chequebook and I ain�t got no credit cards. To me money is a lot like water. For some folks it rushes through their life like a raging river. Money comes through my life like a little trickle But I want to pass it on in a way that does most good for the folks. I see that as my right and my responsibility. It�s also my joy. I have fifty dollars in my purse that I earned from doing a white woman�s wash and I want to give it to you�.



NEALE DONALD WALSCH

Neale helped us to decode the secret of our crisis. For too long man has tried to change problematic behaviours at the level of behaviours rather than the level of beliefs. The three great changes to beliefs we must embed into the system of all the futures worthy of life around the world are:

A) Instead of we are separate from one another, we are all interconnected

B) Instead of there is not enough, there is more than enough

C) Instead of we must compete with one another, we must love each other.

Will people learn in time that we are all one family? To see the full meaning of all people and all of us please explore the idea that God is a process of life, and life is a process of change, and everyone must BeTheChange to make their difference for one and all.

From day 1, we feel we can assert these are some of humanity�s clues to the system crisis people everywhere now find themselves in. Doubtless they translate into smarter system constructs for a networked world�s understanding of what great organisation does: go beyond zero sum economics, rid corporations of the duty to compound conflict that is oddly spoken of as externalities, make subtle change to performance goals such as maximise wealth (every value) not just profit�s short-term monetary on, or vision to be best for the world rather than beat in the world. But for today all we can voice from London goes no further than a lesson chartered 228 years ago, and yet wherever people BeTheChange our acts must truly walk a lot further with god�s speed.

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. --Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain [George III] is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.
