A personal anti-virus software pack to help you Be the Change.
I would like to share some ideas that I have been using for a while which build on some of the ideas floated by both Alan Watkins and Jim Garrison at todays session.
How do we be the change? How do we do differently today that which we learnt yesterday? And more importantly, how do we do it in three weeks time when we are back amongst the muck and bullets?
Alan Watkins showed us how we can use heart coherence to turn off the cortical chaos and leave us with a clear mind. This process is easy to adapt to and to use in a work environment. It also has an equally important side effect. It can be shown to reduce cortisol levels, which has an immediate effect on turning an otherwise suppressed immune system back on. Less colds, illness etc. Something relaxation on its own will not do as effectively.
How do we use the clearer brain to change our emotions, feelings, thoughts and actions. This is linked to where the monk was when Jim Garrison walked into the temple. The monk knew what the fly was doing but was effortlessly able to stop himself reacting. Meditation practice and training can be used to make us conscious of processes which are normally a part of our pre-conscious mind. This is the way in which we can upload fresh thought processes or Thoughts 2.1.
If you train somebody to meditate, it is not about stopping thoughts. It is about recognising thoughts, feelings, and sensory information and choosing how we react. It starts with trying to meditate in a quiet room and then trying to meditate next to a bus station! Hear the buses but do not react.
If we have a calm alert brain and control of our reactions, we can re-programme with appropriate reactions. We now have a choice or a strategy on how we react. If our original reactions were say anger then we can replace that with calm. We can re-programme our own instinctive reactions. We have become the change.
I have used this successfully over 5 years for stress management and to treat inappropriate behaviour and anxiety. It works. It is not about relaxing it is about controlling our own thought processes. How powerful is that? If we dont control our reactions, then there are plenty of others who will. We were not born with a firewall installed.
Hope this may be of some help to somebody else to BE the change.

Do we know where it is possible to purchase a device similar to the one that Alan was using and to get the software or something like it as well?
Perhaps Be The Change should start a directory of resources for being the change and this would be an excellent example of something that could be listed.

One place apparently is at HeartMath. I was told they had one for 80 but the one here costs a bit more. Anybody else know about this?
Great idea to start a directory. Who would like to take that on?

I have brought units in via Heartmath and they are usually delivered within a week by UPS. If there are a few people interested then let us see if there is a discount to be had. I will check and see what the best price is. I think Alan Watkins is offering his software as well. I will try and find out.
There are also a number of interesting research papers on the radiated EMF field showing that you can get synchronisation of ECG traces from two people in close proximity. I have a number of references if anybody is interested.

I'd be interested in hearing about the research into EMF fields please.
Also be good to hear about prices/ availability of the heart math stuff.
Here's a similar product, which looks excellent
