How to messure the HBV (Heart Beat Variability)?
Dr Alan Watkins showed us how we can change our physiology through regular breathing and biofeedbacking the heart beat. (Physiology -> Emotion -> Feelings -> Thoghts -> Behavior)
www.wilddivine.com sells a game (including a hardware device to messure the heart beat). Free Software for this device to measure the heart beat variability is donwloadable under http://sourceforge.net/projects/lsm/

Wild Divine is pretty expensive at $160 (about 90 pounds?).
When we are all up and running and "joined up" it wouldn't be a bad idea to form local meetings and perhaps a communal copy of the game could be bought jointly? It might give groups another reason to meet up as well.

I have bought it. It is interesting. It takes a long time to work through. I have spent about 15 hours on it and I feel I may be about 10% of the way through it. I also have the Heartmath monitor. That is much easier to get the hang of - as you saw in the presentation. It is just as expensive though. If people wanted to get together at my house in London some time i would be happy to let people try these.

Hi Colin,
what would it be like for young kids? Mine are 3 and 5. Are there sections of it that you could get them to have a go at? I think it could be extremely useful to get young kids more (using bio feedback ) self aware.
I might find it easier to justify if it was for the kids (honest) :-)

Its easy to underestimate kids. I could imagine 7 year olds doing Heartmath and 9-10 year olds doing Wild Divine. Maybe a year or 2 younger than those if they are very advanced which I am sure they are. Not sure they would thank you if they got these instead of Lara Croft for Xmas.
