My blog at Ecademy:
Ah, there are those who really love the mankind, also those with the motto of "love the world", and inspiration is available from those who 'kiss the world'.
O life what a great treasure you have and almost 50% humanity is being crushed by the poverty!
"whereby only 14% of the worlds goods are available to around 80% of the world population and even this 14% share is so unevenly distributed that makes a great majority of this 80% people on earth to live in abject poverty, bound by ignorance."
Luckily, those who really love the mankind, et al, are moving fast to do something tangible, sustainable, to root out the poverty and remove the dark curtains of ignorance. Too start with, a university will be established in every target country and interconnected globally to provide top quality education from pre-college to masters - a well-thought out syllabus befitting of global citizens of peace and prosperity - no bias whatsoever!
To translate this dream in to reality we need your brilliant thoughts to go ahead with the project.
Please be liberal and record, whatever you think of the project including name of the proposed university, in the thread 'Global University for Poor", at the unification club.

I think we can have a lot of fun with university co-brands
A not-for-profit concept I am working on the best first links for is university of stars
It seeks to spot emerging superstars and offer them mentoring on one global responsibility of their choice - so eg they could have a virtual course from mentors linked to university of the poor. The aim is to make them a hero as well as a celebrity; give them a vocation in life as some variety from what seems to be the sad networks that the likes of english fottballers or michael jacksons of a mass emdiated age got addicted to
Assuming our mentors deliver, the goodwill trade is for the star to give an occasional free appearnce when a charity needs some fame.
Having connected stars with responsibilities , we can then lobby the largest publically owned media in the world (eg BBC) and say that star reality-making is part of what should make public media wholly different from commercial media. So humanitarian movements can help change stars and media.
universityofstars will only ever be there to connect the world's most open humanatarian movements- it would pointless on its own. Its an example of what I call a 5th organsiational typology -excahnging 100% goodwill and no money (something which can quickly block a network's collaboration power)
But I think this also illustrates how much fun the change-the-world university language could be
