The idea behind Be the Changewas very insightful and resonated with many people who, frustrated with the rate of change, often alone and against great odds, were just getting on and making the world a better place. They welcomed the opportunity to share their expereinces and learn from others. At the first conference it was exciting to learn that one was not alone.I write as the spirit of the Be the Change 2005 Conference appears to be dying in this Forum.

Where are all the inspirational ideas and life stories?

I am looking for interested partners to set up a website called icandoit.com or some such site. The idea is to allow people to gather world changing inspirational ideas and actions, regionally based, that show the power of connecting.

My inspiration is Mr. Mazibuka, a wise peasant farmer from Kwa-Zulu Natal whom I met once and who changed my view of the world forever and showed me what I could do in it. What he did for his own local people in the Valley of a 1000 Hills is a remarkable story.

If you want to find out what he told me phone 01225-425-966 or email me at [email protected]

Hi Charlie.....

After a tremendous year of challenge in which BTC was the guiding light, I understand exactly your sentiment.

I totally disagreed with Frank Dixon, and believe that the change we seek is possible, but as another from BTC has told me since, very very few posess the qualities to actually put it together and make it reality.

I have had to take the 3 month break, but in so doing it has given me the opportunity to mature my own thoughts on the possibilities of actually BEING the change and not just talking about it which I am finding so very many are good at but lack the courage or imagination to walk that talk.

Ma
