Just back from Delhi which was a conference co-hosted by 3 groups: 1) the annual get-together of global reconciliation
2) The Indira Gandhi Nation Centre of Arts & Culture which aims to promote diversity of community exchanges across India and as far as I understand help the government research how to develop social-economic ways of interacting with the world economy of the sort that Mahatma Gandhi would approve of; they run some international conferences, the one in 2007 celebrates the centenary of one of Mahatma Ghandi�s main achievements and is an opportunity to unite change agents from around the world who subscribe to be the change and other Gandhi principles
3) The Bhasha Research institute which lobbies for the needs of 600 indigenous or ethnic communities across India
As time goes by I will try and record and chase up contacts via the blog whynotDELHI - one of a family of 100 co-blogs on chnages different cities want to gift to the world
One of the most heartening affirmation uniting almost everyone was the need to include & in policy: ie economics & religious relationship ethics & change agency and community-deep contexts
